Play-Crib.com is a simple two-player cribbage game. We collect as little as possible.
- Optional accounts. You can play as a guest, or create an account. If you create one, we store your email, display name, and a securely hashed password (we never store your actual password) so you can log in and keep your history.
- Game history (accounts only). When a logged-in player finishes a game, we record it — the players, final scores, winner, and date — so it can appear in your history. Games between two guests are not stored. You can delete your account at any time, which removes your login and detaches you from those records.
- Guest play limit. Guests can play a few games before we ask you to sign up. To count that, we set a cookie in your browser and note your IP address as a rough check. This is used only to apply the limit — not for ads or profiling.
- Game rooms are temporary. A live room exists only while it's being played; its in-progress state is discarded when the game ends.
- Video and microphone are optional and peer-to-peer. The in-game video call connects your browser directly to your opponent's (WebRTC). Your camera and mic turn on only if you allow them, the stream is not recorded, and it does not pass through or get stored on our servers.
- Basic server logs. Like most websites, our server keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security and to understand overall traffic.
- No advertising, no selling your data — ever, to anyone.
